We’re thrilled to announce the start of our Breeding Program at Coleman Hay Farms, set to begin in Fall 2024! However, we’re doing things a bit differently. Instead of traditional breeding methods, we’ve started the process of IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) and will be using Dairy Cows as surrogates. The calves born from this process will be FULL Highlands, ensuring the continuation of the breed’s remarkable qualities.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us directly. We're happy to provide more details!
Interested in a Calf If you’d like to get on our list for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025 calves, please use the link below to sign up.
Calves will be weaned at 4-6 months of age, halter broke, vaccinated, friendly and ready for their new home!
Pricing: The price of our calves will vary depending on factors such as color and sex of the calf. We will also require that buyers have livestock experience or a home with other cattle to ensure the well-being of the animals.
Important Note: We do not breed, or raise micro or dwarf Highlands. Our program focuses on healthy and friendly Highlands with the proper genetic makeup.

Our very first Highland calf AND our first embryo bull calf was born on July 15th — and we are over the moon!
This is Daphne’s very first baby, and George was used as the stud for this special embryo pairing!
Wallie is Available
We have decided to offer Wallie, a sweet Highland steer from our embryo program, to a new home. Born July 2025, Wallie is ready to go home now and would make the perfect Christmas present for the right farm or family. His dam is on premises and can be seen by serious buyers.
Wallie has been raised here on our farm and has participated in our agritourism events, making him friendly, well-handled, and comfortable around people. He is still working on his halter training, but is becoming more confident each day and continues to make great progress.
Placement Requirement:
Wallie must go to a home with other cattle. He will not be placed as a single animal.
